Chuggin’ Along

I have officially been a college student for two weeks. This hasn’t been a walk in the park, but it sure has been fun. I have learned more about myself that I thought I ever could. Fear and I have been face to face a few times, but I overcame it.

Weatherford is full of great people, and even more amazing places to visit. I have eaten at the same Mexican restaurant a few too many times, but it is hands down my favorite spot. If you come visit me, I promise we will eat at Pecina’s!  From my dorm, I can see the sunset every night. I am so thankful for the opportunities I have had here.

In high school, I was constantly told “when you get to college they don’t care about you like we do here.” This hasn’t been the case for me so far. I have met the most caring and passionate professors. They have been so understanding, and some of them have even checked up on me this weekend, since I missed class Thursday and Friday. Missing class is also way different than in high school, it is actually stressful.

I have faced some tough obstacles. I have become a little too close to the nurse, to the point she saw me at Walmart and asked how I was feeling… The end of my second week has been a blur, I got incredibly sick faster than I could react. I found myself on the verge of being admitted into the hospital, but I’m stubborn… This has taught me a lot; I’m not ready to leave my mom, just yet.

I have made some new friends, I’ve put myself in some of the most uncomfortable situations to try and get outside of my shell. Overall, I would say I am pleased with my college experience so far. Southwestern is the perfect size for me, it’s not too big or too small. It feels like home. As much as I LOVE Norman, I am so thankful I trusted myself and didn’t start my journey there.

This journey isn’t going to be easy, but it will be worth it. I hope you will follow me on this journey. I had big plans for this blog, but it’ll have to wait until I have a bit more energy.

I am healing, I will be better soon. I get to stay with my family until Monday. Thank you for all the continued support. I’m blessed.

I found out when looking for pictures for this blog, I don’t take enough pictures! Below is Abby, Michelle, and Miranda!

Thank you once again for choosing my blogs!
